Quality Standards

All our products meet strict regulatory standards.

Regular health inspections by experienced professionals ensure premium quality. Documented certification provides peace of mind.

Our fish farm maintains current Fish Health Certificates on all species, demonstrating our commitment to producing high-quality, disease-free baitfish. These certificates are issued by a licensed Fish Veterinarian and are accepted by most State Regulatory Agencies, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and many others.

We conduct routine testing for Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia (VHS), Bacterial Furunculosis, Enteric Redmouth Disease, Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis, Spring Viremia of Carp, Heterosporis, and other regulated or emerging health concerns including invasive species like zebra mussels (Dreissena polymorpha). Fish are also evaluated for any visible signs of disease to ensure only healthy stock enters distribution.

Our operation has been actively engaged in fish health testing since 2007—and in practice, even earlier—and we have never tested positive for a regulated fish disease or Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS). This long-standing record reflects both rigorous biosecurity protocols and a proactive approach to fish health management.

All of our minnows are sourced exclusively from within the Mississippi River watershed. This controlled sourcing strategy plays an important role in protecting regional ecosystems and maintaining regulatory compliance across state lines. Through strict water management practices, equipment controls, and continuous monitoring, we work to ensure our baitfish remain clean, safe, and environmentally responsible.
